Direct Support Worker

Work Location: Dauphin, MB

Availability Requirements: All types of shifts available

Pay Rate: $20.00/Hr

Summary:

We are looking for a vibrant, compassionate, and reliable Support Worker for Jordan. Are you someone who is person focused, flexible, a team player and has excellent attention to detail? Well, this could be the ideal job for you!

About Jordan:

Jordan is a friendly and active 34 year-old male with autism who lives in his own personal home in Dauphin, MB. He is very active and enjoys going for long walks.

Responsibilities include:

· Support Jordan in his day-to-day life as needed

· Some housekeeping activities

· Basic food preparation

· Take interest in Jordan's activities, including spending time in nature, walking, and short car rides

· Ensuring Jordan remains hydrated, including while on walks and outdoors

· Resolving conflict

Requirements:





· Willingness to spend time outdoors with Jordan and go for walks in all weather required

· Valid Driver’s License and access to a car is a strong asset

· No experience in support work required - we will train the fitting candidate

· Energetic and positive attitude required

· Strong interpersonal skills required

· Excellent oral and written communication required

· Ability to initiative and make sound judgements required

· Clear criminal record check and child and adult abuse registry check required
