Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing & Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic supply chain team. Duties
- Coordinate purchasing activities using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies
- Manage vendor relationships by evaluating pricing, delivery times, and quality standards to secure the best sourcing options
- Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and budget constraints
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect goods for quality and accuracy
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including inbound deliveries, vendor communications, and inventory updates
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to forecast material needs based on production schedules and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data
- Support supply chain initiatives by identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating favorable terms with vendors
Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or other similar platforms for procurement and inventory management
- Knowledge of vendor management practices, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques to optimize pricing and delivery terms
- Understanding of MRP systems to support production planning and inventory control
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for processing purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders across the supply chain
- Familiarity with supply chain principles including procurement best practices and logistics coordination
