Machine Operator – Final Inspection & PalletizingJob Summary

Xpress West Temp Solutions is currently hiring Machine Operators – Final Inspection & Palletizing on behalf of one of our valued clients in the manufacturing industry.

This specialized position supports daily production operations by working at either the final inspection or palletizing station. Responsibilities include inspecting finished products, completing product measurements, identifying paint and material defects, recording traceability information, packaging finished goods, loading products onto pallets, and properly banding completed pallets.

On-the-job training will be provided. However, candidates with previous manufacturing, CNC, forklift, robotics, or computer-aided machinery experience will be strongly preferred.

Successful candidates must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, a skilled attitude, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation

- Load and unload single or multiple parts into machines with precision and care.
- Monitor machinery during operation and report abnormalities or equipment issues.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment and tooling within the scope of training.
- Operate computer-aided manufacturing equipment, including HMIs, robots, and other automated machinery, where required.
- Follow all machine operating procedures and production instructions.

Quality Assurance and Final Inspection

- Visually and thoroughly inspect completed parts for paint, material, surface, and other defects.
- Use basic gauges and measurement tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Ensure finished products meet established quality standards.
- Complete required quality documentation accurately and on time.
- Ensure Work-in-Progress materials are properly handled and meet all process standards.

Palletizing and Packaging

- Protect finished products before packaging and shipment.
- Safely load completed products onto pallets.
- Properly band and secure pallets.




- Accurately record traceability information and production metrics for finished goods.
- Ensure packaged products are prepared according to customer and shipping requirements.

Flexibility and Team Support

- Support other production areas through cross-training and job rotation.
- Participate in training and assist with mentoring new operators when required.
- Respond positively to changing priorities, work assignments, and production schedules.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and other departments.

Safety and Housekeeping

- Perform all duties in compliance with company health and safety policies.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Immediately report hazards, near misses, unsafe conditions, or equipment concerns.
- Follow all required personal protective equipment and safe operating procedures.

Computer Use and Reporting

- Use basic computer software to enter production data, print labels, and access work instructions.
- Follow digital and printed work instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of production counts, traceability information, and inspection results.
- Use HMIs and other computer-aided machinery controls as required.

Preferred “A Player” Candidate Profile

We are especially interested in candidates with substantial experience in the manufacturing industry, including:

- Previous CNC machine operation experience.
- Forklift operation experience.
- A valid forklift licence or certification is considered an asset.
- Experience operating computer-aided machinery, robots, HMIs, or automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience using gauges, measurement tools, or quality inspection equipment.

Qualifications

- Previous manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- CNC, forklift, robotics, HMI, or automated machinery experience is considered a significant asset.
- Ability to follow written, digital, and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to use basic gauges and measurement tools after training.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and availability to work rotating shifts.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, product quality, attendance, and teamwork.
- Professional communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
