Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced Barista/Manager to lead daily café operations while delivering exceptional customer service. This role combines hands-on beverage preparation with leadership responsibilities, ensuring a welcoming environment, efficient operations, and a motivated team. Key ResponsibilitiesBarista & Food Preparation Duties

- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages.
- Prepare light meals, including sandwiches, wraps, bagels, and other café menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards.
- Operate commercial ovens and other kitchenequipment to heat, bake, and prepare food items.
- Organize, stock, and maintain attractive displays of pastries, baked goods, and grab-and-go food items.
- Monitor freshness, rotate stock using first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices, and ensure food quality at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and processcustomer transactions accurately.
- Restock coffee supplies, food items, and cafémerchandise as needed.

Management Duties

- Supervise, train, coach, and support baristas and café staff.
- Create employee schedules and manage dailystaffing needs.
- Monitor inventory levels, place supply orders, and minimize waste.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food and beverage inventory.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issuesprofessionally and efficiently.
- Open and close the café, including cash handling,



balancing tills, and completing daily reports.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, healthregulations, and company policies.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Foster a positive team culture through leadership, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

- Previous experience as a barista required.
- Prior supervisory or management experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred.
- Experience preparing light food items in a café orfood service environment.
- Robust knowledge of espresso equipment, coffeepreparation techniques, and basic food handling practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a team.
- Basic computer and POS system proficiency.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain, if required).

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs (11–23 kg).
- Comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
