Smith Trucking Service Ltd., is a Road Construction, Maintenance, Reclamation, and Trucking company operating in Southern Alberta area for over 50 years. We are looking for three experienced, professional Rock Truck Driver to join our team for a project just North of Bassano. We are looking for high end operators, if that sounds like you, we want to meet with you ASAP.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate Rock Truck in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment including routine cleaning to ensure smooth operation of equipment.
- Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks from the site Foreman/Manager.
- Vast understanding of working within a large scale reclamation/construction site.
- Ensure equipment is being operated properly to ensure safe working conditions.
- Operate heavy equipment and other construction related duties as requested and required by the site Foreman/Manager.

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE

- Valid Drivers License - minimum Class 5 or higher.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Rock Truck Driver, including proper maintenance and safety procedures.
- Demonstrate a proficient understanding of how to operate equipment including proper maintenance procedures.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 kg on a regular basis.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat, rain, wind, humidity, and exposure to dust.
- Willing to complete on site requirements, as required/requested by the site Foreman/Manager.

Experience:

- Minimum 3 years experience as a Rock Truck Driver in large scale construction, underground, or reclamation projects. We are not looking for entry level operators. You must have proven experience, have a good attitude, and be reliable to work on our team with this project.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 – 72 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Overtime

-Rock Truck Driver/Water Truck Operator: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:
