Job Summary
St. George International College (SGIC) is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and student-focused Portuguese Marketing Administrator & Homestay Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position combines international student support, marketing, agency relationship management, and homestay coordination to ensure an outstanding experience for our Portuguese-speaking students from recruitment through graduation.

The successful candidate will promote SGIC's programs, establish and maintain relationships with education agencies, support Portuguese-speaking students, coordinate homestay placements, and contribute to the school's continued growth in the Portuguese-speaking market. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural workplace.

Key Responsibilities Student Support & Counselling

- Provide guidance and support to Portuguese-speaking students throughout their studies.
- Conduct orientation sessions and assist students with school policies and procedures.
- Respond to student inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide assistance during emergency situations outside regular business hours when required.

Marketing & Business Development

- Develop and implement marketing strategies targeting Portuguese-speaking markets.
- Promote SGIC through education agencies, digital marketing, networking, and promotional campaigns.
- Create and distribute marketing materials for education fairs and recruitment events.
- Manage online engagement with prospective students and agency partners.
- Update promotional materials, testimonials, and program information.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and agency partnerships.
- Represent SGIC at education fairs, networking events, and recruitment activities.
- Travel for business purposes when required.

Agency Relations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international education agencies.
- Communicate regularly regarding student applications,



placements, commissions, and promotions.
- Maintain and update agency databases, contacts, and commission structures.
- Coordinate agency visits and special recruitment initiatives.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Organize and conduct student orientation sessions.
- Maintain accurate student records and communication logs.
- Assist with airport pickups and arrival coordination when required.
- Collaborate with internal departments regarding student status updates.
- Review cancellation reports and communicate updates to the Administration Manager.
- Attend staff meetings and provide marketing reports and market insights.

Homestay Coordinator Responsibilities

- Recruit, interview, and screen prospective host families.
- Match students with suitable host families based on their needs and preferences.
- Maintain complete and accurate host family records and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate student arrivals, airport pickups, and homestay placements.
- Prepare host family payment information and maintain payment records.
- Serve as the primary contact for students and host families throughout the placement.
- Handle placement changes, mediations, and emergency situations when necessary.
- Ensure all host families comply with SGIC standards and policies.
- Collect feedback from students and host families to improve the Homestay Program.
- Assist in developing and improving homestay policies and operational procedures.

Position Details

- Position: International Spanish Marketing Administrator & Homestay Coordinator
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Work Location: Toronto, Ontario
- Occasional evening or after-hours support may be required during student arrivals or emergencies.

Qualifications

- Fluency in Portuguese (both written and spoken) is a mandatory requirement for this position. Candidates must be able to communicate professionally with Portuguese-speaking students, parents, and agency partners. Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) are also required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $36,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
