Duties

- Vigilantly monitor pool areas during designated shifts to ensure swimmer safety and enforce facility rules.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including performing rescues and administering first aid when necessary.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool area, including checking equipment and ensuring compliance with health standards.
- Assist patrons with pool rules, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service to enhance their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool facilities, including deck areas and locker rooms.




- Complete incident reports accurately and communicate any safety concerns to management immediately.
- Support set-up and takedown of pool equipment for lessons, programs, or special events as needed.

Qualifications

- Proven swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently and efficiently.
- Ability to lift heavy objects such as pool equipment or supplies safely, demonstrating physical strength and stamina.
- Previous experience in lifeguarding or aquatic supervision is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to remain alert for extended periods while maintaining focus on swimmer safety.
- Certification in lifeguarding, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and First Aid is an asset but can be obtained upon hire if not already certified.
