Field Service Technician – Charlottetown, PEI

We are currently seeking our next excellent team member for the position of Field Service Technician, supporting customers in Charlottetown, PEI and surrounding areas.

Position Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for applying strong mechanical expertise to support field service operations while maintaining a high standard of safety, professionalism, and customer service. The Technician ensures both company‑owned and customer equipment remains in peak operating condition through proactive preventative maintenance programs and timely, accurate repairs.

This position includes a company‑provided service van, fully outfitted with tools and parts, as well as 24/7 technical and in‑house support. A company cellphone, work‑boot allowance, and uniform services are also provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Follow consistent OEM repair and maintenance schedules for various types of access and material‑handling equipment




- Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Perform all preventative maintenance (PM) service requirements
- Repair or replace components on boom lifts, telehandlers, and scissor lifts
- Identify and diagnose problem areas related to wear and tear on equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all company and site‑specific safety procedures, both in the field and at customer locations
- Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

- Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics, manuals, and warning labels
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong customer service skills
- Proven time‑management and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills required to perform job functions

Conditions of Employment

- Journeyperson Red Seal certification is considered an asset but is not required; mechanically inclined candidates are encouraged to apply
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
