Job Summary

Duties

- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight over designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy machinery, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, performing basic automotive repairs when necessary to maintain optimal performance
- Verify freight documentation, ensuring accuracy in shipment details and delivery instructions
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and safety checks in compliance with company policies and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries




- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during every trip

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment required for loading/unloading cargo
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads and performing safety inspections
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance purposes
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
