Budget Car & Truck Rental is hiring a full time Customer Service Representative to join our team at the Nanaimo Airport location.
This is a customer-focused role in a fast-paced airport rental environment. You will assist customers with reservations and rental agreements, recommend products and services, complete administrative tasks, and support the location’s daily operations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, stays organized in a busy environment, and is interested in a service-based sales role with opportunities to increase their earnings.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, and by email
- Provide accurate rental quotes and explain available products and services
- Open and close rental agreements
- Recommend products and services based on each customer’s needs
- Clearly communicate rental policies and procedures
- Address customer concerns and help resolve service issues
- Collaborate with location staff, support departments, and other Budget locations
- Complete administrative tasks as directed by management
- Monitor fleet requirements for same-day and upcoming reservations
- Inspect vehicles, identify and document damage, and assist with the claims process when required
- Clean vehicles to a high standard when required
- Participate in ongoing training and follow company policies and procedures
- Support daily location operations and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Strong customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable for scheduled shifts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and active-listening skills
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience
- Sales or service-based sales experience
- Knowledge of vehicles
- Previous experience in car rental, hospitality, transportation, or a related industry
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Four-day workweek
- 10-hour shifts
- Three days off each week
- Weekend and holiday availability required
