We are currently looking for a highly organized and detail-orientated Bindal Administration & Environmental Operations Coordinator to support our growing Environmental Operations team. This position plays a key role in managing operational data, coordinating routes, supporting drivers, and ensuring municipal environmental programs are executed efficiently and accurately.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Operations/General Manager, you will be responsible for administering the Bindel Cart Management System while coordinating daily environmental operations. You will ensure customer data is accurate, routes are prepared efficiently, drivers have the information they need, and operational records remain complete and up to date.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating multiple priorities, and supporting field operations in a quick-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Bindel Administration & Data Management
- Administer the Bindel Cart Management System, including approved users, program profiles, workflows, service types, status codes, and reference data.
- Import, validate, update, and maintain customer work orders, addresses, cart inventory, and operational data.
- Review and resolve data discrepancies, including duplicate records, invalid addresses, missing cart information, and other exceptions before work is released to the field.
- Maintain accurate electronic records for deliveries, removals, exchanges, repairs, installations, transfers, and inventory adjustments.
- Monitor GPS records, timestamps, photographs, scanner activity, and driver documentation to ensure data accuracy and completion.
Route Planning & Operations
- Prepare daily service routes using Bindel, routing software, mapping tools,
and operational knowledge.
- Organize routes based on geography, customer priorities, service deadlines, traffic conditions, vehicle capacity, and operational requirements.
- Generate route manifests, driver work packages, and daily operational reports.
- Upload approved routes to mobile devices and ensure drivers have access to their assignments.
- Adjust and rebalance routes as operational requirements change throughout the day.
Driver, Truck, and Field Coordination
- Coordinate daily driver and truck assignments with operations, dispatch, warehouse, and field teams.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment, inventory, tools, and documentation are prepared prior to dispatch.
- Monitor route progress and communicate with drivers regarding route changes, access issues, inventory shortages, and service exceptions.
- Escalate operational issues including vehicle breakdowns, missed services, safety concerns, and customer-impacting issues.
- Complete end-of-day reconciliation of completed, outstanding, and exception work while ensuring Bindel records remain accurate.
Customer & Program Support
- Provide professional customer support by responding to operational inquiries and providing service updates.
- Support customer onboarding, program setup, and data coordination within the Bindel system.
- Assist with municipal environmental programs, including cart deliveries, exchanges, inventory movements, and long-term maintenance initiatives.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports covering service performance, route completion, and inventory activity.
Operational Control & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and supporting documentation.
- Follow company policies related to data security, confidentiality, and document retention.
- Identify operational issues and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in daily operational meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related administrative and environmental operations duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, transportation, data operations, municipal services, or similar operational environmental.
- Experience using operational software, routing systems, work-order platforms, or warehouse management systems; Bindal experience is a strong asset.
- Working knowledge of route planning, geographic data segmentation and coordination of drivers and commercial vehicles.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, formulas, lookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and management of larger data.
- Experience with Route4Me, Microsoft Access, mapping software, handheld scanners, or mobile field applications is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Working Conditions
This is an on-site position based in Woodbridge, Ontario. The role requires regular computer and telephone work, daily coordination with drivers and operations personnel, and occasional presence in warehouse, yard, or field environments. Workloads may increase during major environmental rollouts, seasonal projects, service disruptions or customer-priority events. Occasional schedule flexibility may be required to support time-sensitive operations.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $58,000 - $62,000 CAD annually, based on qualifications and experience.
