Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour plus applicable overtime.

We are currently seeking qualified and motivated Medics to join our team in a casual on-call capacity, supporting our commitment to safety and providing immediate medical care to employees and clients.

Job Summary:

As a Medic at Gitxsan Safety Services, you will play a vital role in providing prompt and efficient medical assistance and first aid response to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at various work sites and events. This position requires Advanced level of First Aid Certificate, and S-100/185 certifications, a valid Class 5 Driving License. The role is on a casual on-call basis, where you will be contacted to report to work as the need arises.

Requirements/Qualifications

This position requires Medics to possess:

- a valid OFA3 Certificate (Advanced First Aid),
- S-100/185 certifications (Basic Fire Suppression and Safety/Fire Entrapment Avoidance and Safety)
- a valid Driving License, and
- a minimum of 6 months of prior experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

- Administer immediate first aid and emergency medical care to as per established protocols.
- Assess the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses and provide appropriate medical treatment on-site.
- Record detailed and accurate medical incident reports, including treatment provided and patient information.
- Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for any emergency.




- Collaborate with other safety personnel and staff to enhance overall safety and medical response effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support in implementing safety measures and protocols at work sites and events.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members to keep them informed about incidents and medical requirements.
- Stay current with the latest medical best practices and procedures through regular training and skill enhancement programs
