BANQUET CAPTAIN

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Captain leads the banquet team in delivering exceptional service for weddings, conferences, corporate functions, and special events. This role oversees event set-up, service, and tear-down, coordinates staff, and ensures all events are executed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of guest service. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead banquet staff during event set-up, service, and tear-down.
- Assign tasks and ensure service standards are met.




- Deliver exceptional food and beverage service.
- Coordinate with kitchen and event teams for seamless execution.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous banquet, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience is considered an asset
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail with a positive, guest-focused attitude
- Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays and banquet equipment, and perform repetitive tasks
- Professional appearance with a commitment to exceptional guest service
