We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk specializing in Accounts Receivable (AR) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the company's financial operations by managing accounts receivable processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely collection of payments.

In this role, the Accounts Receivable clerk will provide daily support to the accounting team primarily through handling of all incoming accounts receivable documents and related tasks.

· Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30

Duties may include:

· Post incoming receipts accurately to customer AR account

· Receipts may be cheques or direct deposit

· Attention to detail required to ensure the payment is posted to customer account as per the invoices and amounts listed

· Investigate internally, and follow up on any discrepancies (request credit to customer, advise customer of unauthorized deduction, follow up with customer for payment of remaining outstanding amount)

· Prepare bank deposits

· Contact suppliers noted on customer credit applications to request completion of customer credit reference

· Attach electronic backup as necessary in system

· Respects and maintains all confidential information including, but not limited to, customer portal, bank account access, customer credit card info, customer name,



customer contact information, customer purchasing history, accounts receivable financial information

· US tax maintenance, set up current customers and maintain tax exemption certificates

Qualifications

· Previous accounts receivable or bookkeeping experience required

· High school diploma with accounting courses

· Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

· Resourceful self-starter

Salary range: $42,000 to $50,000
