Skaha Lake Motels are a group of locally owned motels located just steps from Skaha Lake in Penticton. We’re a straightforward, hardworking team focused on providing clean, comfortable stays for our guests. Housekeeping is a key part of our operation, especially during the summer season. This is a fast-paced role with a high volume of check-ins and turnovers, so we’re looking for individuals who are reliable, efficient, and ready to work. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in their work, and works well as part of a team.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Job Type: Seasonal, Full-time or Part-time

Schedule: Morning and evening shifts, weekends and holidays as needed

Job Description

The Maintenance Attendant is responsible for ensuring the property is in good working order and assisting the housekeeping team as needed to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This is a hands-on, multi-functional role ideal for someone who is proactive, reliable, and takes pride in keeping both the facilities and rooms in top condition. Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Attendant will include:

- Perform minor repairs and general maintenance tasks (e.g., plumbing, painting, basic electrical, fixtures, furniture).
- Conduct daily inspections of the property to identify and address issues.
- Monitor and respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain outdoor areas, including parking lots, walkways,



and patios (e.g., debris removal, power washing, seasonal tasks).
- Ensure tools and supplies are well-organized and safely stored.
- Assist with vendor coordination for larger repairs or specialized work.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Assist housekeeping staff during peak turnover times, including room cleaning, linen changes, and restocking supplies.
- Help with laundry operations as needed.
- Support in cleaning common areas and addressing urgent cleanliness needs throughout the property.
- Report any maintenance issues noticed during cleaning or inspections.
- Support the broader team as required and take on additional tasks within your capabilities.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work setting.
- Notify managers on any damages, deficits and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Other duties as required and within the capability of the employee
