Murtron Hauling is looking for experienced Journeyman and Registered Apprentice Truck & Trailer Mechanics to join our team. We maintain a fleet of off-road logging trucks, gravel trucks, trailers, and support equipment. We are looking for skilled mechanics who take pride in quality workmanship, safety, and keeping equipment operating efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain off-road logging trucks, gravel trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, steering, suspension, air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Complete repairs to manufacturer specifications and safety requirements.
- Perform CVIP inspections (license considered an asset).
- Perform welding and fabrication as required.
- Maintain accurate service records and work orders.
- Help minimize equipment downtime through quality repairs and preventative maintenance.




- Work alongside experienced mechanics and assist with training and development when required.

Qualifications

- Journeyman Truck & Trailer Mechanic or Registered Apprentice.
- Experience working on vocational trucks, logging trucks, gravel trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brake systems.
- CVIP License is an asset.
- Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test.

Available Shifts

Day Shift:
Monday to Friday
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Evening Shift:
Monday to Friday
4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Evening shift premium applies as a percentage of the hourly wage.

Overtime opportunities are available as required.
