We are a lean, fast-paced start-up seeking a Mobile App Developer Co-op Student to help build and maintain a production-grade mobile and web application using modern technologies like Flutter, React, and Laravel. You’ll collaborate with an experienced team including developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality features and improvements to an active product.

This is a unique prospect to work on real applications in production, contribute to user-facing features, and gain deep experience across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter (Dart) for IOS and Android
- Build responsive, user-friendly web applications using React (JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Implement backend APIs and business logic using Laravel (PHP)
- Work closely with designers and product managers to deliver intuitive and polished features
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Test, debug, and deploy application updates using Firebase
- Participate in Agile processes: sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups
- Maintain technical documentation and track tasks using collaboration too

Qualifications

Required:

- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary program and returning to full-time studies in Winter 2026
- Working toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (3rd or 4th year preferred)

- Extensive knowledge of mobile app development:
- Proficiency in major app development languages including
- Flutter
- Swift
- XCODE
- Laravel / PHP
- Java / React / JSON
- Experience with source code management tools (e.g. Git)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases (e.g., MySQL)
- Experience with profiling and debugging mobile applications
- Familiarity with working in an agile environment
- Familiarity with push notifications
- Understanding of mobile app design guidelines and aware of differences between platforms

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team
