About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values
and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures
continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,
understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.
Reporting to the Manager ‑ Respiratory Services, the Respiratory Therapist will be working in ICU, ER, Wards and
NICU and will primarily be responsible for the providing of oxygen therapy, cardio/respiratory equipment monitoring
and the assessment and treatment of cardio/respiratory and associated disorders to maintain or restore ventilation.
The successful candidate must:
- Be a registered Respiratory Therapist with an unencumbered license with the CRTO
- Have current certification in ACLS
- Must be flexible, and work both autonomously and in a team environment
- Be able to handle stressful situations and fluctuating workload
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess effective problem solving skills
- Have the ability to work unsupervised
Salary Range: $38.350 to 53.280
