Position Summary
Hyundai Glovis Canada is seeking a Manager, Wholesale Planning & Operations to lead finished vehicle logistics planning and operational control across our Canadian network. This role is responsible for translating wholesale forecasts into operational execution plans while optimizing vehicle flow across ports, rail, trucking, compounds, and dealership distribution.
Working closely with Hyundai Auto Canada (HAC), Kia Canada (KCA), logistics partners, and internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will drive planning accuracy, operational visibility, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the finished vehicle logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead wholesale operations planning and operational control across the finished vehicle logistics network, including ports, rail, trucking, compounds, and dealership distribution.
- Translate customer wholesale forecasts and business plans into daily, weekly, and monthly operational execution plans.
- Monitor performance against Business Plan (BP), Operating Plan (OP), customer forecasts, and service requirements while proactively identifying operational risks, capacity constraints, and execution gaps.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize operational reports, dashboards, and KPIs to improve planning accuracy and execution visibility.
- Analyze inventory, vehicle flow, transportation capacity, dwell time, and operational performance to support business decisions and operational improvements.
- Coordinate planning meetings with Hyundai Auto Canada (HAC), Kia Canada (KCA), logistics partners, and internal stakeholders to review wholesale performance, priorities, and action plans.
- Manage meeting agendas, action items, and follow-ups to ensure accountability and timely resolution of operational issues.
- Establish standardized reporting practices, planning routines, communication protocols, and customer service standards across Vehicle Operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, KPI development, planning processes, and data management.
- Prepare executive-level analysis and ad hoc reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Success in this Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Wholesale Planning Accuracy – Aligning customer forecasts, operational plans, and wholesale execution.
- Execution Visibility – Delivering timely and accurate reporting on wholesale performance, inventory, capacity constraints, and operational risks.
- KPI & Reporting Excellence – Maintaining accurate, consistent dashboards, reports, and executive summaries that support business decisions.
- Customer Support & Communication – Building strong partnerships with HAC, KCA, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders through proactive communication and operational support.
- Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement – Driving standardized planning routines, KPI tracking, reporting practices, and operational best practices.
Qualifications
- 6–9 years of experience in Finished Vehicle Logistics, automotive logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations planning, or a related field.
- Professional proficiency in English and Korean (spoken and written) is required.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting operational and logistics data.
- Experience developing operational reports, dashboards, KPIs, and executive presentations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Power BI.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience working across customers, logistics partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL), wholesale vehicle distribution,
vehicle compounds, rail or port operations, OEM automotive logistics, or transportation planning.
