Job Summary
We are seeking an expierienced Class 1 driver that is wanting to train for a Picker Operator. This is an on-call position and wages vary with experience. Oilfield experience is preferred as well as valid safety tickets. We offer a great benefit package as well as a small company atmosphere. You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles to deliver oilfield tubulars/equipment to job sites
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate electronic logs
- Assist with loading, unloading and securing goods
- Train under experienced operators to beomc a certified Picker Operator
- Perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshooting when needed
- Follow all company safety policies, provincial regulations and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
with a clean driving record
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Be familiar with off-road routes in Southern Alberta
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- You must speak and write English fluently
Valuable communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients. This position is essential for ensuring timely deliveries, and upholding safety standards across all transportation activities.
Pay: $31.00-$33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
