Archer Exploration is an independent upstream oil and gas producer operating in the Beaverlodge area. We are currently seeking an experienced Production Field/Facility Operator to join our operations team.

This position is suited for a self-motivated operator who can safely and independently operate producing oil and gas wells, batteries, and associated facilities while maintaining production efficiency and regulatory compliance.

This is not an entry-level position.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

- Minimum 3 years of direct experience operating producing oil and gas wells and production facilities
- Experience operating oil batteries and associated production equipment
- Experience with gas compression and dehydration systems
- Experience with pumpjacks, pumps, chemical injection systems and production optimization
- Experience working in sweet and sour oil and gas operations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Legal authorization to work in Canada

Applicants who do not have direct upstream production operating experience will not be considered.

This Position Is Not Suitable For

While we appreciate all oilfield experience, the following experience alone does not meet the qualifications for this position:

- Drilling rigs
- Service rigs
- Fracturing
- Well testing
- Coil tubing
- Cementing
- Pipeline or facility construction
- Trucking
- Heavy equipment operating
- General labour
- Lease construction
- Water transfer or vac truck operations

This role requires hands-on experience operating producing oil and gas wells and production facilities.

Key Responsibilities





- Safely operate and maintain producing sweet and sour oil and gas wells
- Operate and monitor oil batteries, separators, compressors, dehydration equipment and associated facilities
- Perform daily inspections, production monitoring and equipment checks
- Start up, shut down and troubleshoot wells and production facilities
- Optimize production while minimizing downtime
- Complete production reporting and operational documentation
- Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs
- Support regulatory compliance, inspections and environmental stewardship
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- Follow Archer Exploration's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
