Host

Graffiti Market is looking for energetic, welcoming and organized hosts to join our team. We are currently looking for candidates who are available to work lunch or dinner services.

Our hosts set the tone for every guest experience. You’ll be the first face guests see when they arrive and often the last person they interact with before leaving. A warm welcome, clear communication and genuine hospitality matter here.

This position goes well beyond standing at the front door. Our hosts work throughout the restaurant, supporting guests, servers and the kitchen to keep service moving smoothly.

What You’ll Do

- Greet guests and make them feel welcome from the moment they arrive
- Organize the seating chart, waitlist and flow of the restaurant
- Provide accurate wait times and keep waiting guests informed
- Escort guests to their tables and notify servers when they have been seated
- Answer the phone and manage reservations through our booking platform
- Coordinate seating for large parties
- Assist with takeout and delivery orders
- Maintain clean menus, host areas and guest-facing spaces
- Complete regular washroom checks and ensure they remain clean, stocked and guest-ready
- Support bussing, food running and table resets
- Jump in wherever support is needed during service

Host Positions

Depending on the shift, you may work in one or more of the following areas:

Anchor Host

You’ll lead the front door by welcoming arriving guests, managing the seating chart and waitlist, assigning tables and maintaining a clear understanding of what is happening throughout the restaurant.

Food Runner and Expo

Working alongside the kitchen team, you’ll help coordinate communication between the kitchen and servers, check dine-in and takeout orders for accuracy, finish and dress orders as required, run food to tables, communicate unavailable items and assist with delivery orders.

Seating and Greeting

You’ll welcome guests, determine their seating needs,



escort them to their tables and notify servers when a new table has been seated. You’ll also support the anchor host, answer phones, sanitize menus and assist with clearing and resetting tables.

Bussing and Restaurant Support

You’ll keep a close eye on the dining room, pre-bus occupied tables, clear and reset finished tables, empty bus bins and help maintain clean server stations. You’ll also complete scheduled washroom checks and ensure cutlery is washed, polished, rolled and returned to the server stations.

Retail

Some shifts may include maintaining our on-site beer store and following all required cash-handling procedures.

What We’re Looking For

- Availability to work lunch or dinner services
- A friendly, confident and guest-focused personality
- Robust communication and organizational skills
- The ability to stay calm and focused in a busy restaurant
- A team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Strong English reading, writing and communication skills
- Basic math and assessment skills to help estimate guest wait times
- Previous hospitality, retail or customer service experience is an asset, but not required
- Smart Serve certification is an asset
