Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in patient care, with experience in hospital settings, research, and acute care. This role offers an opportunity to provide specialized foot and ankle care, including pain management and pediatrics, within a dynamic medical environment. The Podiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various podiatric conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through comprehensive care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Duties

- Conduct thorough examinations of patients presenting foot, ankle, and lower limb issues
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Perform procedures such as wound care, nail surgeries, and biomechanical assessments
- Manage pain through appropriate interventions and medication administration
- Collaborate with hospital staff on acute care cases and participate in research initiatives when applicable
- Document patient interactions accurately using electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Educate patients on foot health, preventive measures, and home care strategies
- Collect data for clinical research or quality improvement projects




- Assist in medication management related to podiatric conditions
- Provide pediatric foot care as needed, ensuring age-specific treatment approaches

Qualifications

- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure to practice podiatry
- Experience working in hospital environments preferred, with familiarity in acute care settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on pain management and home care strategies
- Experience in research or data collection projects is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Background in medical office procedures, medication administration, and pediatrics is desirable
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced clinical settings

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $58.43-$100.00 per hour
