Job Overview

We are interested in hiring an experienced insulation installer to complete quality and detailed work. If you have the experience and possess a good attitude, we want to hear from you! Jobs will be within Toronto and GTA. Additional compensation is made for jobs outside a 60km radius of our head office.

The key responsibilities of an insulation installer are the following:

- Follow directions provided by Foreman or Superintendent
- Install batt insulation inside of walls, ceilings, bulkheads and sloped roofs according to company standards
- Install attic blown in insulation
- Install commercial garage insulation
- Install rigid and semi-rigid insulation
- Install fiberglass, blanket and mineral batts
- Install vapour barrier
- Install Vapour caulking
- Evaluate projects conditions and complete quantity takeoffs
- Prepare work site by protecting windows and floors as needed
- Dispose waste materials and clean up
- Conduct site inspections with clients and building officials
- Set up and take down scaffolding as required
- Enforce and follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a secure and clean work environment.




- Clock in and clock out on company timesheet including detailed description of duties performed.
- Ensure scope of work is being completed efficiently and according to company standards
- Train apprentices and prospective employees.

Job Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years work experience installing insulation on mid-sized residential or commercial constructions projects
- WHIMIS and Working at Heights Training
- Have their own tools
- Understanding of building code requirements and building performance
- In - depth knowledge of construction process from material selection, techniques, and tools
- Take pride in their work
- Detail oriented
- Physically able to lift heavy tools and materials
- Able to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings is a benefit but not required
- Effective communication skills with the ability to give and take direction from others
- Must be punctual and having own means of transportation
- Great attitude and willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
