This position will be responsible for assisting with general housekeeping duties and ensuring a high standard of housekeeping in Whispering Waters Manor and Forest Ridge Place. We are looking for kind and personable individuals with tons of positive energy who are willing to work on a casual basis for vacation and sick coverage.
Availability:
This position includes shift work, including weekends. Shift differential pay is available for weekends. This is a casual position.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Performs general housekeeping duties including cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, bed making, sanitizing, dust mopping, and washing floors
- Performs deep cleaning duties such as wall washing, moving, and cleaning behind furniture
- Collects and launders laundry and deals with contaminated laundry
- Checks on residents absent for meals and assists residents to the dining area as needed
- Delivers sick trays as requested
- Participates in workplace inspections, department record-keeping and creating secure work practices
- Assists residents requiring help
Abilities, Skills, and Experience:
- Ability to endure frequent periods of walking, standing, kneeling, crouching and reaching with hands and arms
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled at problem-solving
- Ability to work independently or on a team
- Approachable and friendly demeanor
- Flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
