Duties
- Lead inventory control initiatives by utilizing ERP systems such as AS400 and Warehouse Management Systems to maintain accurate stock levels across multiple locations.
- Develop and execute demand planning strategies using analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SQL to forecast needs accurately and reduce excess inventory.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation with suppliers, and managing 3PL (third-party logistics) providers to optimize costs and delivery times.
- Analyze data mining results to identify trends in sales, order fulfillment, and warehouse distribution, informing strategic decisions for process improvements.
- Oversee warehouse distribution operations, ensuring efficient materials handling with equipment such as forklifts while maintaining safety standards.
- Implement process improvements by analyzing supply chain workflows and introducing innovative solutions to streamline operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and procurement efficiency to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management or supply chain roles with a strong focus on inventory control and materials management.
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and data visualization techniques to interpret complex datasets effectively.
- Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems like AS400 or other Warehouse Management Systems; experience with procurement platforms is a plus.
- Strong understanding of demand planning, sourcing strategies, and procurement processes within e-commerce or retail environments.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts; relevant certifications are preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to collect data from multiple sources—such as data collection tools or ERP systems—and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Effective negotiation skills combined with a proactive approach to process improvement initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency.
