About the Role
Mariani & Associates is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Psychotherapist, Psychologist, or Psychological Associate to join our growing clinical team in Greater Sudbury.
This position is designed for independently registered clinicians who want to provide high-quality mental health services within a structured, supportive, and collaborative clinic environment.
Our clinicians work with diverse client populations and receive consistent referrals, administrative assistance, and intake support so they can focus on clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy and psychological services using evidence-based approaches
- Complete clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports, and related documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely client records
- Collaborate with clinic staff, families, physicians, schools, and external service providers when appropriate
- Support coordinated and continuous care across in-person and virtual services
- Follow all ethical, professional, privacy, and documentation standards required by your regulatory college
- Participate in team consultation, peer learning, and professional development opportunities

Education
Applicants must hold one of the following:
- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, or a closely related mental health field
- Doctoral or master’s-level education required for registration as a Psychologist or Psychological Associate in Ontario
Education must be completed through an accredited or recognized institution.
Registration
Applicants must meet the requirements for one of the following professional designations:
Registered Psychotherapist
- Registered in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
- Authorized to practise independently in Ontario
- Demonstrated understanding of CRPO ethical and professional standards
Psychologist or Psychological Associate
- Registered in good standing with the applicable Ontario regulatory college
- Authorized for autonomous practice in Ontario
- Demonstrated understanding of the ethical and professional standards governing psychological practice
Applicants must also have current professional liability insurance or be able to obtain coverage before beginning employment.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families
- Experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, behavioural challenges, or neurodevelopmental differences
- Experience providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care
- Experience completing clinical documentation and professional reports
- French and English bilingualism is preferred but not required
Clinical Approaches
Training or experience in one or more of the following is considered an asset:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Emotionally Focused Therapy
- Internal Family Systems
- Interpersonal Therapy
- Trauma-informed care
- Attachment-based approaches
- Play-based or child-focused interventions
- Couples or family therapy
Additional Requirements
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and client-centred care
