Jollity Community Farm Shop and Cafe is a small, farm-to-table café and shop in Chemainus. Our tiny kitchen produces wholesome food made with fresh ingredients from our Thetis Island farm and other local producers!

We're looking for someone friendly, dependable, and creative to join our team for 4-5 shifts/week.

What you'll do

- Prepare coffee and tea drinks (and help create new ones!)
- Greet customers upon entering and provide warm, attentive service
- Take orders, run the till, and answer customer questions
- Keep the café clean and welcoming: clear dishes, wipe tables, tidy throughout the day
- Be responsible for designated food prep items
- Heat up some menu items on the grill
- Maintain the retail area: rotate stock, check expiry dates, and keep produce and flowers looking fresh

What we're looking for:

- A people person who enjoys connecting with others and making them feel at home
- Comfortable working independently on a small team and occasionally alone with support
- Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Food Safe Level 1 (or in process)




- Some barista or café experience is an asset, but we’re happy to train the right person
- Someone with weekend availability (5-6hr shifts)
- Interest in nutritious food, creativity, and sustainability
- Local to Chemainus or able to reliably commute
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

What you can expect

- Shift length 5-7 hrs, 4-5 days/week, including weekends
- $18.75/hr training wage, $20/hr after training + tips ($5+/hr on average)
