About Us:

West Coast Pre Fab is a leading provider in the fabrication and construction industry, known for our commitment to quality and precision. We are expanding our team and are currently seeking a skilled and certified Red Seal Pipefitter to join us full-time in our Chemainus shop.

Position Overview:

As a Red Seal Pipefitter at West Coast Pre Fab, you will play a critical role in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine pipe layout and installation requirements.
- Pipe Installation: Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for various applications including water, steam, and gas lines.
- System Inspections: Inspect piping systems for defects, leaks, or other issues; ensure systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
- Tool and Equipment Use: Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools; perform basic machining tasks such as cutting and grinding as required.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations; ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Material Handling: Use forklifts to move materials and finished products as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:





- Journeyman Certification: Valid Journeyman Pipefitter certification required.
- Experience: Proven experience in pipefitting with a strong understanding of pipe installation and maintenance processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings; strong mechanical knowledge of pipefitting techniques.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and basic machining equipment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in confined spaces.
- Safety Awareness: Comprehensive understanding of safety practices related to pipefitting and welding.
