Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues promptly
- Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs, manifests, and inspection reports
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle performance
- Coordinate with dispatch to confirm delivery schedules and routes, ensuring timely arrivals




- Maintain a clean and organized truck interior and exterior throughout your shifts

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is highly desirable
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, operate machinery, and perform manual tasks as required
