Front Desk Supervisor - Morning
Full-Time | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Weekend Shifts Required | $19.00 per Hour
Lead the Front Desk in the Morning. Set the Tone for the Entire Day.
Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa is seeking an experienced Front Desk Supervisor - Morning to join our Guest Services leadership team.
This is not an entry-level front desk position.
We are looking for a hospitality professional who already understands the fast-paced environment of a hotel front desk and can confidently supervise our morning operation. The successful candidate will have extensive hotel front desk experience, previous supervisory experience, and the ability to ensure every day begins with exceptional service, operational excellence, and a well-supported team.

About the Role
The Front Desk Supervisor - Morning is responsible for overseeing morning Front Desk operations while providing hands-on leadership and support to the broader Guest Services team. They are the right hand of the Guest Services Manager during morning shifts.
You will be the leader who sets the pace for the day, ensuring efficient guest departures, welcoming new arrivals, supporting Front Desk Agents, coordinating with Housekeeping, and maintaining smooth operations.
This position works a dedicated schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days per week, including weekends and holidays as required.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Leadership
- Supervise the Front Desk team during the morning shift
- Coach, mentor, and support Front Desk Agents
- Ensure professional service standards are consistently maintained
- Assist with training new employees and developing existing team members
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues and guest concerns
Front Desk Operations
- Oversee guest departures and check-outs
- Complete guest check-outs accurately and efficiently
- Review guest folios for accuracy before departure
- Resolve billing discrepancies, adjustments, corrections, and payment issues
- Process cash, credit card transactions, deposits, refunds, and balancing procedures
- Verify reservations, room assignments, upgrades, and special requests
- Monitor room inventory and room status throughout the shift
- Coordinate early arrivals, late departures, and VIP accommodations
- Ensure guest profiles, preferences, and notes are accurate
- Assist with group arrivals and departures
- Review arrivals, departures, occupancy, VIP lists, and operational reports
- Coordinate closely with Housekeeping to prioritize room readiness
- Communicate with Maintenance regarding out-of-order rooms and guest issues
- Work closely with Reservations to ensure booking accuracy
- Liaise with Spa, Golf, Food & Beverage, and other departments
- Ensure effective shift-to-shift communication
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional hospitality from arrival through departure
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
- Make sound service recovery decisions that protect both the guest experience and the resort
- Build relationships with repeat guests and recognize VIP visitors
- Create memorable experiences while maintaining company policies and standards
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of hotel or resort Front Desk experience
- Previous supervisory, shift leader, or Front Desk leadership experience
- Strong understanding of hotel Front Desk operations
- Experience handling guest billing, folios, payment processing, and adjustments
- Experience using a hotel Property Management System (PMS)
- Strong understanding of reservations, arrivals, departures, room inventory, and guest accounts
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability and sound decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and qualified during busy periods
Preferred Experience
- Experience in one or more of the following:
o Full-service hotels or resorts
o Luxury or destination properties
o Group arrivals and tour operations
o Revenue awareness and room inventory management
o Accounting
o Staff coaching and training
Schedule
- Full-Time
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Five shifts per week
- Weekend shifts are required
- Holiday availability is required
Compensation
- $19.00 per hour
