The Leduc School of Music and Art Inc. is seeking a Violin Teacher who plays in a fiddle style and is familiar with Bluegrass and/or Celtic fiddle music. The ideal candidate has undergone years of formal music lessons themselves, and is a confident fiddler. This candidate understands how to structure a private music lesson such that all the components of music and fiddle playing are taught, and this teacher enjoys interacting with students, and is able to develop a students’ confidence and skills within a positive and enjoyable learning environment.
Skills Required
Provide individualized fiddle instruction to students of varying skill levels, and be responsive to the individual student and able to tailor lessons to their unique needs and goals.
Have familiarity with standard fiddle and bluegrass repertoire. Able to utilize established method books carried by Leduc’s Own Music Shop, as well as be able to supplement with additional and engaging material to match with students’ musical interests.
Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress, challenges, and recommendations for practice.
Job Type: Part time
Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
