Footholds Therapy Center is currently seeking a lead educator to join our team.

Footholds Therapy is a growing locally owned and family run therapy center that has been operating in Nanaimo and the Comox Valley for over ten years. Our Education Program supports school aged learners enrolled in distance education schools with academic, social, and behavioral goals.

You have:

- Experience facilitating a classroom
- Experience with learners with diverse needs
- Experience in curriculum adaptation and differentiation
- A transparent criminal record
- Organizational and time management skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Compassion, empathy, and patience
- Flexibility and an ability to work in a variety of settings

You will be expected to:

- Implement curriculum based on Ministry of Education standards
- Implement therapeutic programming and goals




- Follow direction of Behavioral Consultant and management
- Provide direction, guidance, and feedback to interventionists and educational assistants
- Work with learners in 1-1 and group settings
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Complete weekly progress reports
- Communicate with families
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
- Align classroom practices with Footholds Guiding Principles

Weekly hours are 30 or more and wages start at $25/hr. Benefits are available.
