Duties

- Cut, trim, and prepare different types of meats according to established specifications and safety standards
- Operate butchery tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Package meat products carefully to preserve freshness and meet packaging guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety at all times




- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of low supplies or quality issues

Experience

- Prior experience in the food industry, especially in butchery or meat cutting, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is essential
- Hands-on experience with meat cutting tools, packaging equipment, and sanitation practices is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
