Western Diesel Services is looking for a skilled and dependable Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team in Hamilton.

What You Will Do
As a Truck and Trailer Mechanic, you will:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Trailer maintenance and repairs (king pins, electrical work, differential repairs, etc.)
- Complete annual safety inspections accurately and efficiently
- Use Ontario’s DriveON system to document and process inspections
- Inspect and repair brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, air, and mechanical systems
- Repairs of clutch AC/compressors, transmission, after treatment systems, etc.
- Identify additional repairs or safety concerns and explain findings clearly
- Complete work orders and service documentation accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers when required
- Work closely with other technicians to complete jobs safely and on schedule
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least four years of experience repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- A valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certificate, or equivalent recognized training and experience
- Experience performing annual commercial vehicle inspections
- Practical experience using the DriveON inspection system
- A valid air brake endorsement or licence qualification
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- A good working knowledge of truck and trailer mechanical systems
- The ability to speak and understand English confidently
- Professional communication skills for interacting with customers
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A dependable, responsible, and safety-focused attitude
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to the shop
