Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret prescription orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide medication counseling to patients regarding proper use, potential side effects, and drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy outcomes
- Monitor patient medication profiles for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and medication management processes
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all pharmacy-related activities

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
- Experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
- Familiarity with pediatric pharmacotherapy is a plus
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other pharmacy staff members
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
