Encore Metals is an industry leading steel distributor looking for a Warehouse Worker to join our Delta, BC team.
This is a Union position working Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm with overtime available.
This position is a production position using a forklift, overhead crane and side loader to process customer orders, load/unload trucks and move material around the warehouse.
The job responsibilities are but not limited to:
Operating a counterbalance forklift, side loader or overhead crane to move steel bar around the warehouse to process orders, load/ unload trucks.
Packaging materials to protect from damage or weather
Work with a computer to process paperwork, pack slips and customer paperwork.
Take directions from other warehouse members to help process work on the shop floor
Cleaning areas of the warehouse
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
-Must be able to speak, read and write clearly in English
-Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
-Minimum 1 year counterbalance forklift experience
-High School or equivalent diploma
-Currently live in British Columbia in the Metro Vancouver area
-Have a means to reliably get to work 5 days per week
-Suitable for hardworking individual that likes working on varies types of equipment
-Medium to rapid paced environment

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a permanent basis
Preferred experience:
Good computer and typing skills
Good organizational skills
Forklift certificate
Overhead Crane experience
The successful candidate complete a criminal background check prior to starting.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $28.70 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types: Overtime pay

Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: $18.25-$26.53 per hour
