This is a regular, full time role for a Nurse Practitioner at Galiano Island Health Unit (GIHU) on Galiano Island, BC.

Shift Start Time/End Time: 0830-1630

Days Off: Weekends/Stats

What You’ll Do

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive, evidence-based care by assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, initiating treatment, prescribing medications and delivering therapeutic interventions.

Practising both autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will collaborate with patients, families and other health professionals, provide clinical guidance and make referrals when appropriate. You will also help identify emerging health needs and develop strategies that improve care for individuals, families and communities while contributing to quality improvement, peer review and health service planning.

Exciting opportunity to join a well-established Remote Rural Primary Care Practice of three GPs and be part of the upcoming PCN for the Outer Gulf Islands. The BCCNM has removed the OSCE requirement as of May 6, 2025.

What You’ll Need to Apply

- Current registration (or eligibility) with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.




- Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
