We are seeking a dedicated Cashier for early mornings and weekends to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a welcoming environment. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting our retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering an outstanding shopping experience.

Responsibilities

- Process customer transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring efficient checkout experiences.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product demonstrations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including merchandising and stocking products effectively.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for accurate change.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, fostering a collaborative team workplace.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or directing calls appropriately.




- Support inventory management by assisting with stocking shelves and monitoring product availability.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred, particularly in a grocery store environment.
- Available to work early mornings or evenings as well as weekends.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math principles is essential for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills are required to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Maintain a current Serving it Right Certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and manage merchandising tasks effectively.
- Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
