We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glazing knowledge and supply chain management, along with excellent customer service skills. This role involves sourcing, buying, and negotiating parts for our glass shop, ensuring that we maintain an efficient inventory system while providing top-notch service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage the inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring accuracy in stock levels.
- Source and purchase parts from various suppliers while negotiating favorable terms.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their parts inquiries and orders.
- Perform data entry tasks related to inventory management and sales transactions.
- Utilize systems to track orders, shipments, and inventory levels effectively.
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely availability of necessary parts for repairs.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to meet specific customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
Requirements
- Solid construction/glazing knowledge is essential for understanding parts specifications and applications.
- Experience in supply chain management or dealership operations is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Proficient in data entry with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to source parts efficiently while negotiating prices with suppliers.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes is a plus but not required.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
