We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Civil Foreman to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise crews on civil construction and underground utility projects.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Interpret construction drawings, grades, specifications, and site layouts.




- Coordinate daily work activities with project managers, superintendents, and clients.
- Monitor crew productivity and maintain project quality standards.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with company policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Ensure all required locates, permits, and safety measures are in place before work begins.
- Work closely with operators, pipe layers, labourers, and truck drivers to maintain productive site operations.
- Identify and resolve construction issues while minimizing delays.
- Maintain accurate records of labour, equipment usage, materials, and daily site activities.
- Mentor and train employees while promoting a positive work environment.

Qualifications

- Minimum of five years of experience in civil construction.
- Previous experience as a foreman, lead hand, or supervisor is preferred.
- Experience with underground utility installation, road construction, and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Thorough understanding of construction drawings, grades, elevations, and site layouts.
- Experience working around underground utilities and excavation operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC regulations and safe work practices.
- Ability to motivate, lead, and develop crews in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with tablets, smartphones, and construction software is considered an asset.
- Valid BC Driver's License required.
