· Operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries. Moves them to and from storage areas and loading docks into trucks or storage facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the warehouse
· Unload shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas
· Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances
· Checking loads are secure
· Stacking empty pallets
· Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment
· Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle
· Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
· Follow all instructions provided by Warehouse Manager or Plant Manager
Required Skills/Experience
· High school diploma or previous warehouse experience
· High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe environment
· Good math, language and reading skills requirement
· Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
· Forklift certification-must
· Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
Physical Requirements
· Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
· Having a good sense of balance
· Having good-eye hand foot coordination
-Should be able to work in cold setting when needed
· Ability to asses weights and judge distances and heights
· Working with large groups of people
