Position: Housekeeping / Laundry Aide

Position type: Casual

Location: Yarmouth Heights, Yarmouth, NS

Schedule: Days, Weekends, Evenings, Holidays

Responsibilities:

- Housekeeping duties include cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, common areas, washrooms and offices, floor care, using industrial chemicals.
- Working independently and as part of team.
- Interacting with residents.
- Working in laundry sorting, washing, drying and folding clothing and linen.
- Labelling resident clothing.

Qualifications:





- Grade 12 education or non-academic equivalent (to be determined/assessed by service provider).
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to work required shifts: days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must have sound interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Compassion, integrity, maturity, respect and a positive attitude are essential attributes.
- Previous experience in long term care in housekeeping and laundry an asset.
