GRT Genesis Inc. is seeking an experienced Shear Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will safely operate shear equipment to cut materials to specification while ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and productivity.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate shear equipment to cut sheet materials according to work orders and drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and production documents.
- Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
- Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

- Previous experience operating shear equipment in a manufacturing environment.




- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic machine adjustments.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Asset):

- Forklift or overhead crane experience.
- Experience in a fabrication or composite manufacturing environment.
