Northern Refrigeration LTD is seeking a versatile, high-level 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic to manage a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects. This is a unique role for a technician who enjoys the variety of high-efficiency residential installs (Heat Pumps/HVAC) alongside the technical complexity of commercial refrigeration.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain refrigeration systems in grocery stores and retail environments, including display cases, walk-in freezers, and rack systems.
- Lead the installation and troubleshooting of advanced residential systems, specifically Air-Source Heat Pumps, furnaces, and central AC.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure system longevity and energy efficiency for both homeowners and commercial clients.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical system failures.
Mandatory Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must hold the following active credentials:
- 313A License: Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (Red Seal).
- G2 Gas Fitter License
- ODP Card: Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention certification.
- Driver’s License: Valid Ontario "G" License with a clean driving abstract.
- Experience:
Proven experience in both commercial refrigeration (grocery/industrial) and residential HVAC sectors.
Schedule & Requirements
- Flexibility: Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required by seasonal demand or emergency commercial repairs.
- Professionalism: Strong communication skills for interacting with residential homeowners and commercial store managers.
