Urban Dirtworks Inc., is a well-established multidisciplinary heavy construction firm operating out of Sylvan Lake, Alberta with work based in and around central Alberta. We specialize in underground water and sewer installation/replacement, bridge culvert installation, road construction, and drainage ditching. We offer competitive wages and a friendly working setting. We are currently looking for an experienced Full Time Water and Sewer Pipe Layer.

This job entails working with PVC, HDPE and concrete pipe on various projects.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

· Set up center and track line for a pipe trench

· Excavation and placement of manholes and catch basins

· Using pipe laser to maintain proper grade for concrete pipe

· Grade or level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools

· Able to direct operators around underground utilities safely





· Comply with established company policies/procedures and OH&S; regulations

· Assist other employees when required

Experience Requirements

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- 2 + years’ experience as a Water and Sewer Pipe Layer
- Experience working in the construction industry
- Understand elevations and grading
- CSTS, Ground Disturbance Level 2, First Aid, H2S, Confined Space and asset but will provide training.
- Self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated dedication and reliability
- Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities
- Must be able to work as a member of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $24.62-$42.09 per hour
