We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring proper presentation and portion control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
- Support the team during busy service times by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of supply needs
- Adhere to health regulations and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety is advantageous
- Familiarity with the food industry standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and safety protocols
- Experience in meal preparation, serving, or working in a fast-paced culinary setting is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy kitchen workplace
