This role requires on-site availability at our LTC homes in Picton (primarily) with the potential to service Belleville, Brighton and Campbellford. Applicants must currently reside in the local region and be available for short-notice shifts.
Job Overview
We are currently seeking Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our team in a casual, multi-site role focussed on Picton area with providing possible coverage across our Belleville, Brighton and Campbellford locations. Will try to keep shifts to one home based on your location.
This position is ideal for RPNs looking for flexible work, including last-minute call-in shifts as well as pre-scheduled shifts based on operational needs.
Duties
- Providing resident-centred nursing care in a Long-Term Care environment
- Medication administration, assessments, and documentation
- Supporting short-notice and pre-scheduled shift coverage
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team
- Adhering to LTC legislation, policies, and professional standards
Requirements
- Current Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience working in a Long-Term Care setting is required
- Ability to work casual / relief shifts,
including short-notice coverage (same day or next day)
- Ability to reliably commute to and work at Picton Long-Term Care homes
- Demonstrated knowledge of Long-Term Care legislation, standards, and best practices
- Solid medication administration, assessment, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Current immunizations and health requirements as per organizational and public health standards
- Successful completion of a criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening

Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
