Job Overview

The Production Associate performs hands-on manufacturing and packaging activities to produce high-quality cannabis products at our licensed facility. Working within a highly regulated environment, this role follows standard operating procedures and batch records to weigh, process, formulate, fill, assemble, label, and package products while maintaining accurate documentation and full traceability. The Production Associate ensures all work is carried out in accordance with the Cannabis Act, Health Canada requirements, Good Production Practices (GPP), and internal quality, safety, and security standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on production activities across one or more stages of cannabis manufacturing, which may include weighing, milling, blending, extraction support, formulation, filling, assembly, labelling, and packaging of cannabis and cannabis-containing products.
- Operate, monitor, and perform basic set-up and changeover of production and packaging equipment safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturer instructions.
- Accurately measure, weigh, and record product quantities, lot/batch numbers, and in-process data on batch records and production logs to maintain full traceability.
- Follow all batch records, work orders, and SOPs precisely, ensuring each step is completed, verified, and documented in accordance with Good Production Practices (GPP).
- Handle cannabis products in compliance with the Cannabis Act and Cannabis Regulations, Health Canada requirements, and internal security and quality standards, including proper handling of excise-stamped and controlled products.
- Maintain accurate reconciliation of raw materials,



work-in-process, and finished goods, and promptly report any discrepancies, deviations, or quality concerns to a supervisor or Quality Assurance.
- Conduct in-process quality checks (e.g., weights, counts, seal integrity, labelling accuracy) and quarantine or flag non-conforming product according to procedure.
- Keep production areas, equipment, and tools clean and sanitized by completing cleaning and sanitation logs and adhering to GPP, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.
- Follow all facility security, access-control, and product-safeguarding procedures, and immediately report any security concerns, losses, or thefts.
- Comply with all occupational health and safety regulations, WHMIS requirements, PPE and gowning protocols, and company policies, and participate in required training.
- Support inventory movements between production, storage, and packaging areas, and assist with cycle counts and material staging as needed.
- Communicate and coordinate with team members, supervisors, Quality Assurance, and shipping/receiving to ensure efficient and accurate production flow and meet daily targets.
- Perform other related production duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a science, food, manufacturing, or related field is an asset.
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production,



or assembly role; experience in a regulated (cannabis, pharmaceutical, food, or GMP) workplace is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any security clearance required to work with cannabis, and to pass a criminal record check.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Ability to read, understand, and precisely follow SOPs, batch records, and detailed written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and record-keeping, with the ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working with basic production equipment and hand tools; mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the Cannabis Act, Positive Production Practices, and WHMIS is an asset.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (approximately 23 kg) as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to wear required PPE and gowning (e.g., gloves, hairnets, safety footwear) and work in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment that may include varying temperatures and exposure to cannabis plant material and odours.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position based at the company's licensed manufacturing facility in Ontario, Canada.
- May require shift work, overtime, early mornings, or weekend shifts to meet production schedules.
- Work is performed on-site in a regulated production environment subject to ongoing security, safety, sanitation, and compliance protocols.

Pay: From $20.75 per hour
