About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys supervising crews while actively participating in field operations. The successful candidate will lead civil construction projects, coordinate daily site activities, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise civil construction crews and subcontractors on-site.

- Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor crew productivity.

- Read and interpret civil engineering drawings, plans, and contract specifications.

- Perform site layout and oversee excavation, grading, and underground utility installations.

- Coordinate materials, equipment, subcontractors, and workforce to maintain project schedules.

- Ensure all work meets quality standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.

- Monitor project progress and provide daily updates to management.

- Foster a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.

- Provide hands-on support with excavation, pipe installation, and other field activities as required.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience,



including experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

- Valid BC Driver's License.

- Valid Canadian work authorization.

- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and specifications.

- Experience operating or working around heavy equipment and construction tools.

- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S;) regulations and safe work practices.

- Physically fit and willing to perform hands-on field work.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience overseeing excavation and underground pipe installation projects.

- Experience setting elevations, grades, and alignments for underground utilities.

- Valid First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
